After years of declining health and illness, Kelcie was diagnosed with Mitochondrial Disease, Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, and Mast Cell Activation Syndrome in 2018. Being a young person diagnosed with several progressive illnesses at a young age has challenged Kelcie in more ways than one, but she's fiercely committed to not letting her illnesses hold her back. Kelcie founded her first company while she was on disability leave from university and became an industry recognized leader while she was nearly bed bound. Despite the challenges her disability brings, it has also taught her several valuable lessons about overcoming adversity, innovative time management, and the importance of disability representation in entrepreneurship and beyond.
